Reminder: This is MYTHOLOGY. The nature of mythology is the willingness to believe and manifest it into your emotional commitment. However, it offers a strong effect on your principles of moral and ethical behavior. Having a guide along with guardrails is probably a lifesaving concept in using mythology to balance the illusion of our being here in the first place. Mostly though, it is a concept that societies use to restrain social order and maintain crowd control. Tribal mind, Hive mind, whatever you want to base it into, it is a cooperation of consciousness to manage the chaos, which is a mix of innovation, coincidence and luck, both good and bad. Everyone wants an explanation to satisfy their imaginations. Conspiracy theories for the sake of back up. For God’s sake, man, listen to a woman. The yin/yang complexities. Let’s give it up for the Eastern cultural philosophies.
How does that relate to the concept of masculine and feminine or is it more about light and dark, the opposites of each other?
It is actually both. The concept of Yin and Yang is a universal framework meant to categorize all opposing yet complementary forces in the universe.
Instead of choosing between light/dark or masculine/feminine, ancient Chinese philosophy groups them into two broader columns of cosmic energy: Yin (the receptive) and Yang (the active).
How They Categorize the Opposites
The Masculine and Feminine Dynamic
In this philosophy, "masculine" and "feminine" do not refer strictly to biological male and female genders. Instead, they refer to energetic archetypes present in everything:
Feminine (Yin) is Receptive: It represents nurturing, intuition, stillness, listening, and internal reflection. Like soil, it is quiet but holds the potential to grow life.
Masculine (Yang) is Expressive: It represents logic, action, outward drive, building, and assertion. Like sunlight, it provides the heat and energy that triggers growth.
Why They Are More Than Just "Opposites"
Western thought often views opposites as dualistic enemies (e.g., Good vs. Evil, where one must destroy the other). Yin and Yang do not work this way. They represent complementary dependence:
They cannot exist without each other: You cannot comprehend the concept of "light" unless you have "darkness" to compare it to.
They consume and create each other: As day (Yang) reaches its peak at noon, it gradually begins fading into night (Yin).
They contain the seed of each other: This is represented by the dots in the famous symbol. True Yin always contains a dot of Yang, and vice versa. For example, extreme winter (Yin) holds the seed of spring (Yang).
Every person, object, and situation requires a balance of both. Too much Yang leads to aggression, burnout, and destruction; too much Yin leads to stagnation, coldness, and inertia.
All we are saying...
Give Peace a Chance,
cut the earth some slack
and watch the earth give it back....
It's what she's doing right now if you were payng attention.
Don't let your dogma get run over by your karma...
God doesn't save, it only watches through the eternal lense of unconditionally love. There is no end and no beginning it has been stated. and Jesus? Well, let's just say he hasn't seen the light of your day to make a difference anyway. Those words say to take care of each other... the kingdom welcomes the least of my people. Taking your hat off at church is nice, but consider checking your ego at the door.
